Michael S. Marmo, DMD

Board Certified Endodontist in Newtown, Pennsylvania

Growing up in New York, Dr Michael Marmo received his bachelors in food science at Cornell University followed by his DMD degree at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. After graduation he completed a general practice residency program at Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan and then returned to the University of Pennsylvania’s Advanced Dental Education Program for specialty training in endodontics. Dr Marmo served as an instructor at Penn’s Microscope Training Center, where participants from around the world are instructed in the use of microsurgical techniques.

Dr. Marmo worked as the endodontist to Penn’s Faculty Practice Network, private practice limited to endodontics in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and created Newtown Endodontics in 2003.  As a Clinical Associate  Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr Marmo teaches both endodontic residents and pre-doctoral dental students. Dr Marmo lectures both nationally and internationally and his topics include hybrid instrumentation techniques, apical preparation size, irrigation systems and protocols, and bioceramic obturation.  

Dr. Marmo is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Scientific Advisory Committee for The Journal of Endodontics, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Outside of his passion for endodontics, Dr. Marmo enjoys photography and traveling in Italy.
